a short respite

bits and pieces

The last 2 and a half months my life was taken over with shooting and editing various stage shows. On Tuesday I delivered the end product of the latest to the client. Now, I have a short break before I plunge back into it. (There is a shoot scheduled for next week.)When one is involved in any (seeming non-stop) activity for any length of time as I have… and then a break in the action comes along… one is prone to feel a little lost and useless. I felt that way a couple of days ago… not so much now. As much as I’m enjoying not “having” to “get it done… yesterday”… I am actually looking forward to the next shoot and edit.
There was so much I learned as I was doing that at times I experienced a bit of a giddy sensation. With each of the 5 projects I employed an average of 2 new techniques with each. One building on the other. And I was pleased with the results.
Plus, the added bonus that I’m feeling more proficient and confident with this craft. Always a good feeling.
But for now… a break is good. Then it will be onward and forward again. Learning by doing is always fun.
